It started out as a bout with the flu, progressed to thoughts of death and ended up in anger – and a mission.
James Christie will describe his Lyme disease journey Wednesday to fellow reluctant travellers and interested witnesses, calling for action to save others from a similar fate.
The Newmarket resident is producing a documentary after cycling across the province to spread the word that Lyme victims are being ignored — and suffering lives of pain-filled obscurity.
Wednesday evening he will host a video presentation in Richmond Hill to share his knowledge, experiences and warnings about a disease that appears to be on the rise.
