Adrian Baranchuk, MD
Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Electrocardiology
Dr. Adrian Baranchuk is a cardiologist, researcher, and educator, who is internationally recognized for his contributions to the field of cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Baranchuk recently retired after serving as a professor of medicine at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. His current affiliation is Professor of Medicine, Universidad Abierta Interamericana.
Dr. Baranchuk completed his medical training at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina before pursuing additional specializations and academic work in North America. He is certified in cardiology by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
His research has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals, and he has authored multiple books including Lyme Carditis from A to Z. Dr. Baranchuk is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Electrocardiology.
In addition to his research accomplishments, Dr. Baranchuk is a mentor and educator who frequently speaks at conferences and collaborates with institutions to advance cardiovascular science and education. He is currently the President of the International Society for Holter and Non-invasive Electrocardiology, and Past-President of the Interamerican Society of Cardiology.
