August 1 @ 6:00 am – 2:00 pm PDT
Masquerade: Acts of Defiance is a duo exhibition presenting new works by Lavi Picu and Lilian Cuer, exploring how contemporary society conceals urgent realities behind masks of normalcy. The exhibition investigates the invisible, systemic, and ecological forces shaping human experience and the natural world, creating a dialogue between internal and external forms of vulnerability.
Opening night August 7th, 6:30 to 9:30pm Eastern
This exhibition runs from August 1 to August 30, but there’s an opening night on August 7th. An exclusive artwork will be awarded during the vernissage on August 7 at 9:00 PM. Guests must be present at the opening night to claim this prize.
As a visual artist living with Lyme disease, much of my work is inspired by the invisible realities of chronic illness. Through painting, installation, and mixed media, this exhibition explores themes of resilience, perception, and the often unseen impact of Lyme disease on the body and mind. The exhibition is presented in collaboration with artist Lilian Cuer and Espace d’expressions et de création.
