DESCRIPTION:Our event this year honors a courageous and caring young woman named Jen Meers.  Many Lymies in Kamloops and surrounding communities know Jen as she has helped so many of us navigate this difficult journey. \n\n\n\nWalk for Lyme – Jen’s Journey is an event where those affected by Lyme Disease can support one another\, while at the same time demonstrating to the rest of Canada that there is indeed\, many of us suffering from this disease in British Columbia. \n\n\n\nWe will share important information with family\, friends and the general public about the barriers Lyme disease patients face with respect to diagnosis and treatment. \n\n\n\nWe will educate people about Lyme disease prevention. \n\n\n\nThis is a free event. Everyone is welcome. However\, registration is required. If you would like a T-shirt or to donate\, payment can be made by credit card or e-transfer. Please note that credit card payments carry an additional fee of 2.9% plus .30 per transaction. \n\n\n\nThe cut-off date for ordering T-shirts is Thursday April 11th. \n\n\n\nLearn more

This webinar will share information on the National Public Health Strategy for the Prevention and Control of Vector-Borne Diseases in People (VBD National Strategy). The full meeting will be by invitation only to ensure representation and inclusion of researchers\, clinicians\, public health officials\, vector control officials\, and patient advocates. However\, the public is invited to listen virtually to the opening and closing sessions.
