The Lyme Education, Awareness, and Prevention (LEAP) team announces the release of the first draft of the Educators’ Resource for Lyme Awareness. Visit our website at https://www.lookingatlyme.ca/resource/ to check it out.
This resource has been developed with education and prevention in mind for students in the middle school grades. Through scientific lesson plans, students learn how to identify ticks and tick habitats so that they can avoid tick bites and recognize signs and symptoms of Lyme disease.
The LEAP team is also seeking teachers and outdoor educators to give us feedback on this resource. If you are interested in sharing your thoughts please reach out to canlymeeducation@gmail.com. A small stipend is available for those who are able to participate.
