KITCHENER — Mariah Reichert says Lyme disease has stolen away years from her young life. She’s hoping, with the help of a few strangers, she can start to get it back.
The Kitchener-raised woman has been living with the debilitating symptoms of Lyme disease since before she was a teenager. Today, she’s putting her hope in an experimental treatment in Germany — but after years of paying out of pocket in failed attempts to treat their daughter, her family can’t afford it on their own.
